Sébastien Bourdon

French painter of the seventeenth century, active between Classicism and the Baroque, with a highly varied output that included religious scenes, portraits and landscapes. He worked in Sweden as portraitist to Queen Christina and is remembered for his stylistic versatility and his ability to assimilate different European influences.
