Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta
Spanish painter of the nineteenth century, belonging to a prominent family of artists and active mainly in Paris. He specialised in portraits of high society and elegant, cosmopolitan genre scenes, within an academic style highly prized by the international market of his time.
