Michelangelo

Michelangelo Buonarroti was an Italian Renaissance artist, active as sculptor, painter and architect, considered one of the central figures of Western art. He is remembered for the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel, for sculptures such as the David and the Pietà, and for his decisive influence on the development of Mannerism.
