Masolino da Panicale
Italian painter of the fifteenth century, active between the late Gothic and the early Florentine Renaissance. He worked alongside Masaccio in the Brancacci Chapel, where his elegant, refined forms contrast with his collaborator's more innovative style. He is remembered for his religious scenes of delicate colouring and harmonious composition.
