Luca Signorelli

Italian painter (c. 1450-1523) active in Umbria and Tuscany during the Renaissance, an indirect pupil of Piero della Francesca. He is remembered chiefly for his frescoes of the Last Judgement in Orvieto Cathedral, where he developed an anatomical treatment of the human body that influenced Michelangelo.
