Lorenzo di Credi

Florentine painter (c. 1459–1537) trained in Verrocchio's workshop, where he worked alongside Leonardo da Vinci. He cultivated a delicate, precise style, heir to Tuscan Renaissance classicism, specialising in religious subjects such as the Virgin and Child. He is remembered for his refined technique and for his role in transmitting Verrocchio's teachings.
