Joachim Beuckelaer
Flemish painter of the 16th century, active in Antwerp and nephew and pupil of Pieter Aertsen. He specialised in highly detailed market and kitchen scenes, combining still life, figures and, often, a secondary biblical episode in the background. He is remembered as one of the creators of the Flemish market-painting genre.
