Jan Gossaert

Flemish painter of the late 15th and early 16th centuries, also known as Jan Gossaert or Mabuse. He introduced elements of the Italian Renaissance into the painting of the Low Countries, excelling in portraits and mythological and religious subjects. He is considered a key figure in the transition towards Flemish Mannerism.
