Henri-Edmond Cross

Henri-Edmond Cross was a French painter of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a leading figure of Neo-Impressionism alongside Seurat and Signac. He is remembered for his Mediterranean landscapes executed in the pointillist technique, in which colour divided into small brushstrokes seeks to capture the light of the south of France.
