Govardhan

Govardhan was an Indian miniature painter active at the Mughal courts during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, in the service of Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. He is remembered for his portraits of emperors and nobles, as well as hunting scenes, in which he combined naturalistic detail with the refined composition typical of the Mughal school.
