Bernardo Strozzi
Italian Baroque painter, active in Genoa and later in Venice, where he developed a style marked by vibrant colour and loose brushwork. He is remembered for his religious and genre compositions, influenced by Caravaggist tenebrism but softened by a warm light and a more painterly execution.
