Benvenuto di Giovanni

Italian painter of the fifteenth century, belonging to the Sienese school and a continuer of Siena's late Gothic tradition. He is remembered for his religious altarpieces, characterised by a luminous palette and an archaising style that retained medieval traits while assimilating Renaissance elements.
