Benedetto Luti

Italian painter of the late Baroque and early Rococo periods, active mainly in Rome and trained in the Florentine tradition. He is remembered for his pastel studies of heads, of great chromatic delicacy, and for his religious works that anticipate eighteenth-century sensibility.
