Bartolomeo Montagna
Italian Renaissance painter, active mainly in Vicenza, linked to the Venetian school and influenced by the style of Giovanni Bellini. He is remembered for his sacred figures of great solemnity, with an austere treatment of light and landscape, which made him the leading representative of Vicentine painting of his generation.
